During Labor Day weekend we went to my friend, Mindy's son's 2nd birthday party. They had a bouncy house which she LOVED!

This past Saturday we went to Eckert's Farm. The girls got to ride ponies, watch pig races, ride on a wagon & pick apples from the orchard. It was a great time!

As you can see, she loves pony rides!!

Last weekend Tanner & i went to my friend, Rochelle's parent's farm near Rolla for the day on Saturday. Rochelle's nieces & nephew were there along with another friend of Rochelle's & her daughter so there were plenty of kids to play with & she did great. Such a little social bug:) I think she even had a little crush on Rochelle's 15 month old nephew, Tyler, lol:) There was so much to do there & we had SO much fun!! We did not want to leave! Tanner went on her 1st pony ride & loved it! She looks pretty serious in the pics but she wanted to keep going & going. We went swimming in the lake & they had a bouncy house & a (kid size) roller coaster there! It was so nice to spend the day there, we loved it!

My nephew, Taylor Nicholas Hendrixson was born this morning! He weighed 7lbs. 15oz. & was 21" long! Everyone is doing great!!!

Congrats Niki & Adam!!! He is absolutely PERFECT!!!!!!!!! We love you all very much!

Tanner is doing great! She's going to be 17 months old on Tues. Very hard to believe! Yesterday we went to Sears & she had her picture taken with her cousin Chaney for St. Patrick's Day. They were both decked out in their four leaf clover shirts from their Yia Yia:) They did really well & the pics turned out great! Now we are just patiently waiting for my nephew to make his debut. Niki's due date was yesterday but nothing yet. I will for sure keep everyone posted though! Next month we are going to get Tanner's Easter/18 month pics done so i'll be sure to post them. She is getting way too big, way too fast! Here are a few pics from the last couple weeks.

Tanner's 1st trip to the beach

Tanner went on her 1st trip to the beach this month! We left on the 15th of Jan. & we got home on the 27th. She did SO good on the ride there & on the ride home! We had such a wonderful vacation except for the fact that Tanner went through teething HELL while we were there. We felt so sorry for her! She came home with 3 new teeth:) Other than that it was a great trip. We were in Islamorada, FL in the Keys for 2 weeks including drive time. We had great weather except for a little bit of rain. I think i would give up my snow & winters if i could live on the ocean!

I don't really have much to tell, just a little update. She is starting to want to hold the spoon herself when eating. She still needs a little guidance from Mom but she knows exactly what to do to get the food on the spoon & then the spoon to her mouth:)

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Tanner had been sick (and now mommy is:) so we decided to stay home for Thanksgiving so we wouldn't get anyone else sick. Pumpkins & Wolves:)

This past Saturday we took Tanner to a pumpkin patch in Marthasville, MO. It was a gorgeous day! She liked looking at some goats they had but there really wasn't much for her to do. We picked out a tiny little pumpkin for her & we got 2 pumpkins (1 is about the size of T:) to carve for Halloween.

On Sunday we went to Wolf Fest at the Wild Canid Center (the wolf sanctuary). It was so neat!! Not very many picture opportunities because it's hard to see through the 2 fences with a camera. I was perfectly ok with the 2 fences seperating us from the wolves considering their 1500lbs. of jaw power to my measly 50lbs., lol:) They are such beautiful creatures!

Well, she took her first 3 steps on Monday!! She was "cruising" around the coffee table & spotted a favorite toy, let go of the coffee table, took 3 small steps towards the toy & then went down on her knees. That seems to be all she had in her for right now:) When i hold her hands & try to get her to walk to me, she goes right down on her knees & "walks" to me that way. It won't be long now & i will have an official walker!! Maybe just in time for her 1st birthday next month!
I've gotten all of the decorations for her party & we're looking forward to a very simple & fun 1st birthday for our princess next month! We thought that was a pretty appropriate theme & can't wait to see her in her plush princess crown...if she'll wear it;-)
We have her Halloween costume picked out & can't WAIT to take pictures of her in it!! Now, if only i can figure out what i'm going to be:)

Birthday party, Anniversary dinner & wonderful news...

Last Sunday we went to a birthday party for my friend's son's 1st birthday! We had such a great time! There was a petting zoo & pony rides & Tanner loved all the animals...and so did her mommy;-)

Then on Tuesday we went to dinner for my dad & step-mom's 25th anniversary. Turns out, we had another reason to celebrate that night...we found out my sister Niki is PREGNANT!!!! YAY!!! We are so thrilled for them & so excited Tanner will have another cousin & all 3 of the kids will be close in age which is great! They can all be partners in crime, lol:)

We have now started planning Tanner's 1st birthday party. We're doing a Little Princess theme, which i think is pretty appropriate:) I cannot believe she's going to be 1 in just a month! It's sad & exciting at the same time.

On Saturday we had a birthday BBQ for my mother-in-law Sandy & Tanner had a blast hanging out with her Grandma & Grandpa Campbell, Aunt Dawn & Uncle Jason & her cousins Dana & Dylan. Then on Sunday we went to my sister Niki & brother-in-law Adam's for a little pool party. My brother Pat & sister-in-law Megan took their daughter Chaney swimming for the 1st time & she really seemed to enjoy it! This was the 2nd time for Tanner. The 1st time didn't go so well but this time was a success! She LOVED being in the water which makes mommy SO happy!! :)

Just a few pictures to show how big T is getting! She is crawling like a pro & she can now pull herself up! She LOVES pulling up & is just as proud as we are:) She stayed with my mom for a week while we were in Mexico for my sister's wedding (which was BEAUTIFUL!) I did better than i thought i would...once i got there. My mom said she did great! I think she slept better over there than she does at home;) It was crazy to see how much she changed in just the 1 week we were away from her. She's even starting to throw little fits, especially when she doesn't want to be held, you know, the crying w/out tears kind...YAY! :) It's hard to believe she's going to be a year old in a little over 2 months! We've even started thinking about her party! It's most likely going to be Halloween themed...or the Golden Girls, which seems to be her favorite show! HA:-) (She takes after me & her great-grandma Evelyn on that one!) I'll keep ya posted:)

Tanner is now crawling!! She loves it! She loves having multiple ways to get around now. She's either crawling, rolling, lunging or walking in her walker. She mostly just chases the dogs though:-) If they're in her sight she is a woman on a mission! At least she's focused, right? :-)

She finally gets to go to the zoo for the 1st time this Friday! I can't wait to see how she reacts to the animals. I hope she likes them because her mommy is going to let her have pretty much any animal she asks for...that's in our budget of course;-)

8 months old!

Hard to believe my baby girl is already 8 months old! She's going to be a year old in just 4 MONTHS! What the heck?! Time really does fly when you're having fun:-)

Not really much to tell. Tanner is doing great! She still isn't crawling but that doesn't seem to phase her because she can get anywhere she wants to go just by rolling. It's really cute! She can also sit up from laying down now so she doesn't get mad anymore when she falls over.
She still zooms around in her walker like a mad woman! The poor dogs get this terrified look on their faces whenever she is in her walker. They usually hide under the table where she can't run them over:-)
Hopefully i will be able to take her to the zoo soon if this MO weather would cooperate! So, if anyone wants to go with us, just call:-)

Tanner got to meet her new cousin, Chaney, last night! She was so funny, she would just stare at Chaney & then look at whoever was holding her as if to say "what is that?" :-) I have a feeling they are going to be buddies & get into alot of trouble together;-)

It's hard to believe Tanner was that small just 7 months ago! Cherish it Pat & Megan because it goes SO fast!

Hi all! Tanner turned 7 months old on Saturday which was also her Grandma Debbie's birthday!! (Don't worry Mom, i won't tell them how old you turned:-) We went out to dinner & T-bug was ok for the 1st part but there were alot of new faces at the table & it got pretty busy so she decided to have a little melt-down! We all tried everything we could to calm her but she was just MAD! Once we got home i found out the main reason for the fuss...she has a 2nd tooth popping through! For the most part teething has been pretty smooth. She might be fussy for a little while but rub some baby Orajel on her gums & she is ready to party.
She is really close to crawling now! She has mastered getting up on all fours & rocking back & forth. She gets around really well just by rolling around & scooting on her back. She also motors around in her walker & laughs when she runs into things, especially the dogs. They've been really good though, they just get the heck out of her way!
I wish i had some pictures to post but our computer is broke so we are borrowing my brother-in-law's for right now. Well, that's all for now! I'll try to post some pictures soon!

Tanner's 6 month check-up

Tanner went to the doc. today & got a very good report:-) She is right on track w/everything. She weighs 16 lbs. 12oz & is 25 1/4" long. She doesn't go back until she's 9 months old.

Daddy bought her a highchair the other night & she looks so darn cute in it! She looks so tiny in it but she seems to like the new view:-)

I can't believe Tanner is already 6 months old! She's halfway through her 1st year! :-( I know i sound like every other mom when i say this but it really seems like i just brought her home yesterday! WOW!
She's doing great! She loves scooting around like an inchworm, only on her back:-) She loves opening drawers, petting her puppies, pulling on Daddy's beard & tugging on Mommy's hair:-)
She had a wonderful Easter & everybody loved her kilt that she got from her Grandpa Campbell!

Well, Tanner sat up unassisted for the 1st time the other day! Now she wants to sit up whenever possible. She's a strong little thing, always trying to pull herself up:-) She is such a busybody! If she's awake, she's moving! Diaper changing is getting really interesting, lol! All she wants to do is go, go, go! She's going to be one busy little girl when she starts crawling (and i will be too;-)

Well, Tanner will be 5 months old this Monday! WOW! She's so fun & amazing! She's been doing great! She loves to razz, squeal, smile, have her diaper changed, be naked, watch the dogs, smile at the dogs, etc. I can't wait for the weather to stay warm (not hot!) so we can stroll around town;-) Anyone up for a day at the zoo? I apologize again for not being very good at keeping this blog updated. Anyway, Tanner had her 4 month check-up today and she's doing great! She weighs 14 1lbs. 10 oz. & she's 23 3/4" short. I believe she's gonna be short like her momma:-) The doc says she's right on schedule!

She's been rolling over from her tummy alot & she can ALMOST roll over from her back. She gets her bottom half going but she just can't get her top half over. You can tell she just wants to get up & go, she's such a little wiggler! She is a happy baby, most of the time anyway but she can be VERY moody, let me tell ya! (She must get that from Scott, right?! HA!) There are times when she'll be smiling WHILE she's fussing! It's so funny! She can also be laughing & smiling one second & the very next second she's wailing. Maybe she does get it from me;-) She wakes up in a great mood every morning which i just love! I'll go & peek in at her while she's "talking" to herself & she'll just look up at me and smile SO big! I absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know it's only been 4 months but i CANNOT even imagine what life was like without her!!! Scott & i just love her & love our life since she's been here!! Thank you God, you sure did bless us!!!

Here are a few pics of my little munchkin:-) She is getting so big! She will be 3 months old already on Jan. 16th. She has such a pretty smile and she's been "talking" alot which is so cute.

She loves to smile and laugh at her stuffed animals, mostly a singing Lily doll (the girl Leapfrog frog, she counts to 10:-) and her Nessie doll that she got from her Grandpa Dave. She loves sitting in her swing that she got from her Grandma Sandy. That has been such a lifesaver!! Thank you again Sandy!

Well, first of all, i know i'm not very good at keeping up with this blog and i apologize (sorry Brandi & Niki:-) See, i usually take a whole bunch of pics first and then put them all on the comp. so it might be a while in between posts. I will try to work on that though:-)

Second of all, i just want to say congratulations to my sister Niki on her engagement!!! I think Adam is a great guy and i'm extremely happy for both of them!!!! I also want to congratulate my brother Pat and my sister-in-law Megan again on their awesome news that they're going to have a baby this spring/summer!!! Tanner can't wait for her new cousin!! 2008 has sure been an incredible year!!

Now on to Tanner! She had her 2 month check-up yesterday and is doing great! She weighs 11lbs., 12oz. & is 21 1/2" long (tall:-) The doc said she is right on track. He did switch her formula to Enfamil Gentlease which seems to help her tummy quite a bit. She was really inconsistent when she ate, sometimes taking only 2 oz., sometimes 4, every once in a while 5 oz. I think it was really bothering her tummy because since she's been on the Gentlease she's eaten 5 oz. every time and it's been alot easier to burp her. She doesn't seem as fussy either.

She has been smiling alot lately and laughing which is the greatest sound in the world!! She has the sweetest smile, i have a feeling that smile is going to get her alot in the next few years:-)

My mom and i took her to Sears yesterday to get her Christmas pics done. I think they turned out really well. She got pretty cranky in the middle & we had to wait until we could calm her down before we could finish. At times it was tough to get her to smile but overall it went really well. Then after that she had to go to the doc and get 3 shots!! Needless to say she DID NOT like that at all:-( On a good note though, after that busy day she had she slept through the night! 9 hours!! I did get up twice though, to check on her because i was getting pretty uncomfortable because she hadn't gotten up to eat yet. Typical mommy worry:-)

I've got to say these past 2 months have been the most incredible of my life and i can't even remember what life was like without her!!

Just a little update. Tanner went to the doctor on Monday for her 1 month check up and she is 9lbs. 8oz. & 20 1/2" long! She's really doing great! I can't believe it's already been 1 month, it goes by so fast! Time flies when you're having fun:-)

Scott and i are very happy to annouce that Tanner finally made her debut:-) She was born on October 16th at 2:42 p.m. She was 6lbs. 11oz and was 19 1/4" long. Labor was not TOO bad. 12 hours total from start to finish. She has been such a joy already! We just got her home today and she has met her 2 new sisters, Chloe & Ruby (the dogs:-) They are VERY curious but so far are doing really well with her.

We had a little bit of a rough start with feeding (i'm nursing) but i think we are both starting to get the hang of it. She has the cutest little sound she makes when she starts to get upset but so far she's pretty easy to console.

Scott & i are so thrilled!! We can't wait for all the joys, and trials, of parenthood!

Well, Tanner is still not here. My actual due date isn't until tomorrow, so maybe she's just waiting until then:-) I went to the doctor today and i'm still at 3 cm. My doc said sometimes when you get to 3 you stop progressing. I don't think she's dropped anymore as i still can't seem to breathe any easier and her kicks don't feel any lower. The doctor set up an appt. for me to be induced on Oct. 22nd if she's still not here by then. So...now we're just playing the waiting game :-) I'm so excited and so anxious i can't even think straight! I will keep you posted!

Some sad news...

My Grandma Evelyn passed away last night. She had cancer for a while so it is kind of a blessing in disguise i guess you could say. That still doesn't prepare you for the loss! I will miss her tremendously and i wish she would've been able to meet her great-granddaughter Tanner. I know she'll be watching (and beaming) from above. I realize she is in a much better place though and she is not suffering anymore. May you rest in peace Grandma, we love you!!

Still no baby yet:-) We are just waiting until Tanner decides to make her debut. I'll be 39 weeks this Tuesday. I still feel SO unorganized as i haven't experienced that "nesting" thing yet. I mean, the nursery is ready but i still feel like there is something i'm forgetting. Is this normal?

I had an appt. for fetal monitoring today and everything is fine. They measured the fluid and it's normal and so is her heartrate and her movement so that made me feel good:-) I just can't wait to meet the little "soccer player" that i've been carrying around (that's what she feels like anyway, she's got some kicks:-)

Well, i went to the doctor today and she said everything looks great! I'm actually 1 cm dialated but she said that doesn't predict anything and i could still go all the way to my due date.
I will be 37 weeks tomorrow (9/23/08)! We are SO excited!!!

We finally got the crib delivered and Scott & i put it together this weekend and i got most of my shower gifts put away so the nursery is finally starting to look more like a nursery:-) Very exciting!!
